If I were them, I would be very grateful with this man.

2. Paragraph opinion.

I can't deny that bring Internet to refugee camps is a kind action, but if we think about it, is that what they really need? In my opinion, the answer is "no". Refugees actually need food, medicines, warm places to sleep... Not Internet. If Zuckerberg really wants to help this poor people, he better give them things of first necessity, I'm sure they will take advantage of that better.

Unit 6

*Example Block Method

Students who have Mr. Jones and Mr. Smith are inmediately aware of the difference in the lecturing manner of each other. Mr. Jones has a pleasant voice, which helps hold the interest of the students. He pronounces clearly in a rhythmic pattern emphasizing key words. His moderate tone and inflected words make his lectures interesting. Mr. Jones also adds humour to his subject, and he welcomes questions from students who don't understand the material. He takes his time and explains slowly. He tries to make sure that his students understand a concept before he moves on to something new, and he is very enthusiastic about his subject. Mr. Smith, on the other hand, has a different tone, pronunciation, expression and attitude from Mr. Jones. He has a booming voice, which commands rather than teaches, and sometimes it is hard to understand because he runs his words together. His lectures are not as interesting as those of Mr. Jones, either, because Mr. Smith speaks in a boring monotone. He also hates to be interrupted; feeling that he must cover everything. Mr. Smith teaches every class in a serious, determined mood. Thus, as the above points illustrate, the lectures of Mr. Jones and Mr. Smith are quite different.

*Example Point-by-Point Method

Students who have Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones are inmediately aware of the difference in the lecturing manner of each teacher. Mr. Jones has a pleasant voice, which helps hold the interest of the students. Mr. Smith, however, has a booming voice, which commands rather than teaches. Mr. Jones pronounces clearly in a rhythmic pattern emphasizing key words. On the other hand, Mr. Smith mumbles, running his words together. The moderate tone and inflected words of Mr. Jones make his lectures more interesting than those of Mr. Smith, who speaks in a boring monotone. Mr. Jones also adds humour to the subject, whreas Mr. Smith is always serious about each lesson. Mr. Jones welcomes questions,as compared to Mr. Smith who hates to be interrupted. Mr. Jones takes his time and explains slowly, whereas Mr. Smith rushes through each lesson. Mr. Jones is very enthusiastic about his subject; he tries to make sure everyone understands a concept before he moves on to something new. Mr. Smith, however, is always in a determined mood; he feels that he must cover everything. Each teacher has a different voice, tone, pronunciation, expression and attitude: as a result, their lectures are quite different.

Journal writing

1.How my life has changed since I came to Murcia.

I came to live in Murcia at my grandparent's house last month, because of the university, and obviously, my life has changed since that. Now I have more freedom, because my parents are really estricts, but I have to clean everyday and help my grandmother with the housework. Also, she only cook stews like soup, pumpkin cream or lentels, and I don't really like these plates, but it is what it is. I sleep at my grandmother's living room, so when I arrive from class, she is there watching TV until midnight at least. As you can see, I don't have any privacity but for the moment I'm okay. I miss my mother's plates, but I don't miss my brothers, I'm in peace whithout them. I would like to have my TV here, because the TVs of my grandparent's are so old and I can't watch youtube videos or put a film with a pendrive.

2.A special skill I have.

I don't know is it's a real skill, but I can read very fast (and well) since I was a child. My teachers used to congratulate me because of my reading skills and I have always loved books. Now I'm writing my own novel in Wattpad and for the moment is been a bit sucessful, but lately I'm not inspired unfortunately. I would like to be a real writer one day, but I'm think I'm not good enough. Other special skill I have is that I can imitate Shakira very well. At least, my grandmother loves when I do that. Also, I talk extremely fast, but then there are people who don't understand me.

3.A hobby.

As a hobby, I can mention that lately I usually watch zombie's movies, like resident evil or welcome to zombieland. I really love cinema, but my favourite films are about zombies, the end of the world and other stuff of this style. The other day, I watched a film called Pride and Perjuice and Zombies. It was like Pride and Perjuice but with zombies and I really enjoyed it, now it's one of my favourite films. One big difference is that in this film, Darcy is more handsome than in the original film, and ofcourse, I appreciated that. Also, one of the actreeses was Lena Headey, and I like that actrees since I saw her at Game of Thrones.Apart from cinema, I like listening music. My favourite singers are Melanie Martínez and Lady Gaga.

4.Learning to play sport.

I hate sport. I know it is good for my health and all that stuff, but I'm a really lazy person. However, there's a sport which I love, and is trekking. When I was a child, I spent summer holidays at the mountain, in a big and old house which is of my grandpa. There, we had no TV, no wifi and any other distractions apart of our toys ant the nature. So I spent most of the time going on excursions with my brothers and my cousins, and I remember that ocasions as great experiences with plenty of fun. Nowadays, we rarely go to the mountain, but in the future I would like to live there or at least, to spend my holidays and weekends there doing trekkong all the time.

5.My favourite sport to play or watch.

As I've said before, I don't like any sport, except trekking, so taht's my favourite. The truth is tath three years ago, I went to pilate's class and I liked it despite the fact that is a painful and difficult sport. I went to that class during a year, but I stopped because the place of the class was so far of my house, and also, my peers were all old people. Men were to pilates with ridicoulous and too short troussers, and that was just disgusting (they were all old too). Just imagine the situation. To sum up, after I stopped with pilates, I started going to run at evenings, but it was extremely hard for me. Once, I was running at countryside and I found a big dog alone. I was scared but I escaped.

6.An accident.

I think I have never had an accident, but this summer, my aunt saw one traffic accident at the road. She is a doctor, so she got out of the car because she wanted to help. She was there with two policemans when a car hited them. She was moved to the hospital and she was so bad. Now she's alive but she can't move her body, which is a terrible thing. Fortunately, she has two daughters who take care of her. Last summer, a car hited one relative who I don't remember. They didn't help him, they runned away and the police couldn't found them. My relative died, unfortunately.

7.Being on time.

I really hate when I've agreed to meet someone and he or her is late. I used to be a very punctual person, but unfortunately, my friends were always late, so I decided to start being late too, because is boring and hateful to be waiting every time you're gonna meet someone. However, I'm always on time for college classes, because that's different and I want to be a responsable person. For important things like that, I always want to be prepared with plenty of time. I really appreciate punctual people, they are polite.

8.The people I live with.

Nowadays, I'm living with my grandparents. My grandmother is really nice and she does the homework, but I help her when I can. She's a little bit strict, but my parents are more stricts than her, so it's okay. My grandfather is sick and he's goingto operate soon, so now he's always hungry and he has no patience, so sometimes is difficult to bear him. My uncle lives here too, but only from Monday to Thursday. On weekends he go to his house at the countryside with his girlfriend. He's a bit rude and he's not my favourite uncle. He never borrow to me his TV and that's bad but I have to bear him.

9.American customs I like/dislike.

I don't know much about American customs, but I know they are friendly and they love hugging other people. That's something that I have in common with them, because I love hugs and I always hug peoplen when I know them. I also love junk food, and is world famous that American people eat lots of this type of food. I know is unhealthy, but I love sweets, pizza, hamburguers... On the other hand, I hate vegetables! I usually avoid eating them, which is difficult because my grandmother forces me to eat them. I sound as a child, but I don't really care. For the moment, I don't have any weight problem so I'm not worried.

10.An important story in the news.

Last friday, I read on the internet that some thieves entered in the house of the spanish singer Rosalía. I was very urprised, because I have always thought that famous people like her would probably have a lot of security at their houses. Maybe it has happened because of the chaos in Cataluña, because I have seen in TV people stealing from the stores. Fortunately, she is really rich, so I suppose that she is not gonna have economical problems because of this. I know that this is not a really important new, but Rosalía is very famous now around the world, so I suppose that this history is relevant in some way.

11.The working student.

I've never work except as a baby sitter in some occasion, but I know people who work at the same time they are studying. This is very difficult, because they have less time to do their homework and to study, and of course, they have very little free time. They usually combine their studies with their works because they need money. Fortunately, my father gives me money every week, so I always have what I need. It's a pity to work and to study! In my opinion, I couldn't do both at the same time, because I always get distracted when I'm doing my homework, and as a result, I lose lots of hours. Imagine if I had to work! So, I hope not to have to work until I have finished colllege, even that sounds lazy.

12.A big mistake you once made.

Well, I have made lots of mistakes in my life. One was telling everything to my old "friends". There are private things which you shouldn't tell anyone about! Other mistake was having a boyfriend just for boredom, because if you do tis, you play with a person's feelings, and more important, when you break up with him, you realize he was too silly and shabby for you and then you want to die of shame. Trust me, it is a horrible and disgusting situation! You feel like you're going to throw up.And the worst part of this is that you can't go back to the past to avoid talk to him in your whole life. In conclusion, you should remeber that you shouldn't do nothing stupid just because you are bored.

13.Using e-mail.

I only use e-mail for college, for create accounts in games and stuff like that and for receive notifications from some apps of my cell phone. I think no one use e-mail to talk with somebody, because there are lots of apps for that, like Whattsap or Tellegram. I think that e-mail is cool, because is really easy to use, and for a person who is disaster with technology, like me, that's fantastic. Everyone use e-mail, including my little brother who is a mess just as me. However, I don't like the fact that you can't delete an e-mail. I mean, you can, but just for you, because the person you sent it to can still read it. In my opinion, there should be an option for that. I'm sure millions of people would appreciate it.

14.Cell phones.

Nowadays, everyone has a cell phone, even little kids. My parents didn't let me to have one until I turned 16 years old. I was the last person in my class to have one! My lifestyle changed when I bought my cell phone. I use it for everything: to chat with my friends, to make my homeworks, to see youtube videos, to listen music... So I started using my MP4, my tablet, the TV... I just needed the cell phone! However, use too many hours the cell phone is not good for your health, so everyone needs self-control. My brother is addict to the cell phone. He spent all his freetime playing games in it. As a consequence, his marks have worsened and he behaves badly. So, before having a cell phone, make sure you have self control.

15.Teenagers.

Being a teenager is truly complicated. Your body changes, and you can feel really bad about that. If you are a girl, you have the period for the first time, and that's one of the worst things in my life, I swear. Your friends change, and sometimes you feel like they are different persons. You change too, ofcourse, and you can go through stages that will seem ridiculous to you one day. However, it has good things too. You have more independence, you know lots of new people and you live different experiences. Is the time when your personality and your way of being are determined. You learn new things too. Is not as horrible as it looks, I suppose.

16.The right age to get married.

I would like to get married one day, and in my case, my perfect age to do that would be between the ages of 30 and 35 years, because you are neither too young nor too old. I want to live lots of experiences as a single person, with more freedom, before getting married, but I want tobe young when that moment arrives. And if one day I have children, I want to be a young and cool mother. In my opinion, it's important to enjoy the youth, life is only loved once! Ofcourse, everyone has a diferent opinion and it's okay, you can get get married at the age you prefer, but I don't have any doubt about this.

17.A good friend.

My best friend is called Sonia, she is 18 years old, the same age as me, and I know her since we had 3 years! We went to the same school and our paths were separated after finishing highschool. Now, she is still living in our town. She is working in an office. We talk with our cell phones every day. I konow I can tell her anything, I don't have any secret for her. The problem is that we don't see each other since summer, but fortunately, distance means nothing to us. I know that she will always be my friend, no matter what happens, and that's why she is the best friend I've ever had! I wish everyone could have a friend like her.

18.Shopping.

I love shopping! I'm a bit capricious and consumerist, so whenever I go to stores I want to buy something else, even when I don't need it for nothing. What I usually buy are clothes. My parents doesn't have any problem with that, because they think clothes are a need, but it changes when I ask something different like handbags or other accesories, because it doesn't look like a need. However, I'm very lucky with my parents, they always give me money! Shopping is much better when you go with friends, because they give you their advice and their opinion when you are trying clothes and they accompany you to the toilet. Go shopping alone can be boring and ofcourse, much more difficult to choose!

19.Your last day in your country.

If this was my last day here, in my country, I woiuld probably feel sad, because I love Spain and my family and friends are here, and also excited, because living an adventure is always cool. In my last day, I would eat lots of "patatas bravas" or spicy potatoes, as you prefer, because they will not have this amazing plate abroad, and "jamón serrano" too. I'm sure that I can't eat better than here in any other country. I would buy "turrón" because my english teacher of the academy didn't know what it is, and I refuse to live without "turrón". It's something essential in Christmas! As you can see, my biggest concern is about food, but I would say goodbye to my family and friends, ofcourse.

20.My first day in the USA.

On my first day in the USA, I suppose I would try to know my new town orcity exploring the place and seeing the principal tourist attractions. I would try to know new people and to make friends. I would have to know which restaurants and shops are in my new city or town, especially restaurants because I would like to try the food of all. I would send pictures to my family with monuments, beautiful places and things of that style and I would say them that I miss them a lot. If it's my first day, I would probably be so tired because of the travel, so I would probably go to sleep early, but I would have to get used to my new bed, which is difficult to me.

21.Discrimination.

Undortunately, nowadays discrimination still exists. I mean, now women and men has the same rights, and LGBT people are consider completely normal too, but there is some close-mind people who still wantsto go back to the last century. Due to this, it is important to continue fighting for equality and for all the values like respect and equality. We are all humans and everything will be better if we love a nd resoect each other, without prejudice and violence. Thebest weapon against not tolerable people is the love and the respect! Dialogue is very important too. I hope one day everyone will live without problems as he or she is.

22.My favourite food.

I love eating, so say my favourite food is really difficult for me. I can't choose just one! I love sweets. My favourite dessert is chocolate coulant, is delicious, but I also love chocolate ice cream from mercadona, that's the best ice cream in the world, I don't have any doubt. I love pancakes with cream too. Talking about salty food, I think I could never get tired of potatoes pizza. Yes, I know it sounds a little bit weird, people in general is not used to eat this type of pizza, but I have never tryed something better. It contains cheese, hamburguer sauce, sausages, and, ofcourse, French fries! It is selled at a restaurant of my town, I absolutely recommend it.

23.The best car to own.

I don't understand about cars, but I've always want a limousine, because it's very glamourous and everyone would look at it on the street. Of course, I would need  a chofer too. It wouldn't be cool to have to drive your own limousine! My limousine should have a mini bar with drinks and sweets, and some confy seating. I would be the envy of eveeryone! Unfortunattely, I would need a lot of money to keep the car and to paythe chofer and the gasoline, and for the moment, that's completely impossible for me. I hope I will be rich  one day and I will achieve my dream.

24.Smoking in public places.

I really hate when people when is smoking by my side. The smell and the smoke are unbearable, and terrible for your health, of course. If you want to shatter your lungs, it's okay, but don't try to shatter mines too! People should be more respectful. You can smoke when you are alone or in your house. Why people still smoke? I understand that before smoke was a fashion, but nowadays it is perfectly known that this habit is very bad for health. You can have serious issues like cancer. Also, is very expensive, and is an addiction really difficult  to remove. All are disadvantages!

25. A movie star or singer I like.

Actually, my favvourite movie star is Johnny Depp. He is extremely handsome, even now that he is not longer young. My favourite movie of this actor is "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". It's a musical thriller, and he was perfect for that role because of his beautiful voice, apart from his brilliant act skills. I totally fell in love with him when I watched that movie for the first time!
I have seen this movie lots of times, I never get tired of it. Johnny Depp has a rock band which is called "Hollywood Vampires". I have never liked that type of music, but nowadays I often listen to this group because of him. I would go to a concert, but unfortunately, "Hollywood Vampires" won't come to Spain for the moment. I wish I could meet Johnny one day!

26. A belief had or used to had.

When I was little, I believed in the wise men. Most children believe they are real, but I was the last person in my class to realize they weren't. In addition, this happened in highschool, so I wasn't a little child. At that time, I believed firmly that my parents could never lie to me, and when I asked them about wise men (because all my classmates told me that they weren't real), they always said me that wise men were real. I also asked to a teacher, who was a nun, and she said me the same as my parents. Finally, another teachersaid in class that they were unreal, and then I felt really sad.

27.A story from your childhood.

When I was a child, I went with my family to the circus every year, One time, we went to the Rody Aragon's circus. It was amazing, I had a picture with a baby lion in my arms. At the end of the show, Rody take some volunteer kids to the circus ring, and he choose my brother and I (and more kids). We had to take part in a dance contest. The boys had to choose a girl as a couple of dance, and a older kid choosed me. We didn't do it very well, but surprisingly, we won the contest! Our prizes were some Fofo cd's and two pictures of Rody signed by him. I will always remember that day, it was really exciting!

28. A favourite possesion.

My favourite possesion is a silver brazalet which was from my grandmother. She used to wear it when she was young. Her name is graven in it. She gave the brazalet to me some months ago. I always wear that brazalet, is very special for me. I also have a gold brazalet from my other grandmother, and my cousin have another similar to mine, but I haven't put it in a while.

29. Music that is special to you.

I'm always listening to the Sweeney Todd's soundtrack, because I love that film, so I think that this music is special to me. That songs means too much for me, they are so beautiful and touching. In addition, I specially love a Melanie Martínez song called "Mrs Potato Head" because it has a deep meaning, Melanie really has a beautiful soul. Another song that I suppose that is special for me is a song which I "composed" when I was a child, to convince my parents to give me a Lalaloopsy por Christmas. The song is called "I wish I had a Lalaloopsy for Christmas" and is still sung in my house when it's Christmas. Unfortunately, my parent's didn't bought me the doll. They're stillon time, I suppose.

30. A special gift you have given or received.

The best gift I rememeber someone has given to me is a cute puppy which my uncle gave to me when I was a child. It was my first pet, and I had always wanted to have a dog. I named her Iris. It was too adorable and playful! But when my mother saw it, she said that we weren't going to have a dog at home, and my uncle took Iris to his house, at the countryside. I felt very sad. Some weeks later, we went to my uncle's house for a family meal. Iris was bigger, and also, my cousin had changed her name. He had named her "Berni"! I was upset.

31. A special day or event in your life.

A special day for me was my 14 birthday. My friends went to my house with fantastic gifts, we play football in my house's yard the whole evening and we had night tea together. My mum prepared a delicious chocolate cake and lots of yummy food. I think that was my favourite birthday because my friends of that time were all classmates and some of them didn't have so much relation with others but everything was great, everyone had fun and probably all of them still remember that birthday party. Nowadays, I don't see any of them, the reality is that they are not my friends anymore (except for one or two exceptions) but that day will always be in my memory (and in theirs I hope) and that is amazing.

32. Your worst habit.

I think that my worst habit is actually to eat junk food. I know I should just stop buying it, but when I'm hungry, I don't think in eat a fruit or something like that. In this type of situations, I always want to eat chips, a burguer... When I am in class and I want to eat somethiing, I just go to the canteen and I buy a neapolitan. I always feel a bit guilty after doing this, but that doesn't mean next time I will buy something healthier. In my home, my aunt often buy chocolate cookies or muffins, and of course, I eat that at breakfast or at dinner. I'm sorry, but I love this type of food and I enjoy eating it although it's insane.

33. A frightening experience.

One frightening experience I had once is when I went to the beach with my family to spend the evening and there were very big waves in the sea, but despite that, we went to take a bath. At first it was really funny to jump every time a wave passed, but suddenly, a giant wave arrived and it crawled me beneath the surface. I couldn't get out of the water and I was so scared because I needed to breath. I felt like I couldn't endure more time and I thought I was gonna die, but then the water crawded me to the shore and finally I was outside the water. I hope something like this will never happen to me again, one of the worst moments in my whole life.
